Lauran. Artist. Facilitator.

About Lauran:

I’m a mixed-media artist based in Worcestershire. I work across painting, sculpture, installation, and textiles. My current practice centres on my lived experience with endometriosis, using metaphor and material exploration—particularly through textiles—to express the condition's physical and emotional impact. Narrative guides my choice of media, with each material selected to best support the story a piece needs to tell.
Alongside my studio practice, I’m developing a participatory project called createFLOW, in collaboration with women who have experienced endometriosis. The project explores how creative expression can support well-being, foster connection, and nurture a sense of belonging. This work has formed part of my research for a recently completed master’s degree in Arts, Health & Wellbeing, where I examined how art can help communicate complex lived experiences.
I am also a fully trained memorial artist, specialising in realistic hand-painted headstones. While my focus has evolved, I continue to take on select commissions and remain open to future work in this area.
